Hormonal Health
Support through different stages of hormonal change, including menstrual concerns, perimenopause and menopause.
Discover how herbal medicine may support your health.
Plants have been used medicinally for thousands of years, and many continue to play an important role in modern medicine.
Today, herbal medicine is based on traditional knowledge alongside contemporary research, offering an individual approach that considers your health, medical history, lifestyle and personal needs.
Rather than focusing on one symptom at a time, I take the time to understand the bigger picture and explore how different aspects of your health may be connected.
People come to herbal medicine for many different reasons. Some are looking for additional support with ongoing health concerns, while others are interested in a more personalised approach to their wellbeing.
I work with clients experiencing a range of concerns, including:
Support through different stages of hormonal change, including menstrual concerns, perimenopause and menopause.
Exploring concerns such as bloating, digestive discomfort and irregular bowel habits, alongside diet and lifestyle.
An individualised approach to skin concerns such as acne and eczema, considering your overall health and possible contributing factors.
Supporting general wellbeing during periods of stress, anxiety and emotional strain.
Looking at factors that may be affecting your sleep, energy levels and everyday wellbeing.
Offering individualised supportive care for people managing ongoing health conditions, alongside appropriate conventional medical treatment.
Every herbal prescription is carefully prepared and tailored to your individual needs, using quality medicinal herbs and plant extracts selected specifically for you.
Depending on your needs, your prescription may include herbal tinctures, teas or other preparations.
Herbal medicines are charged separately from consultation fees, and the cost will always be discussed with you before your herbs are prepared.
Yes, in many circumstances, herbal medicine offers additional support for people living with long-term health concerns. I take the time to understand your full medical history, current treatment and how different aspects of your health may be connected. Together, we can explore possible contributing factors and consider whether herbal medicine, alongside dietary and lifestyle advice, may be appropriate for you.
Yes, however, certain herbs can interact with prescription medicines, so it's important to consider your current medication and supplements before starting herbal treatment. We'll review these during your consultation to assess what may be suitable for you.
Everyone is different, and the time it takes to notice changes can vary depending on your health concerns and individual circumstances. Some people may notice changes sooner, while longer-standing concerns may require a more gradual approach and regular reviews.
I work with a variety of herbal preparations, including liquid tinctures, dried herbs for teas and other formulations where appropriate. Your prescription will be selected according to your individual needs and preferences.
Not at all. Herbal medicine can be used alongside conventional healthcare where appropriate. I encourage clients to continue with their usual medical care, investigations and prescribed treatments. You should never stop or change prescribed medication without consulting the clinician responsible for your care. We will discuss this during your appointment.
